This project highlights how our entirely made-to-measure approach can completely optimize a room, delivering a stunning sliding wardrobe and integrated desk area that perfectly balances elegant aesthetics with multi-functional, everyday utility.
The Challenge
Our client in Chelmsford, Essex, wanted to create a stylish and practical bedroom for his daughter, combining a made-to-measure sliding wardrobe with a dedicated study area. The space needed to maximise storage while maintaining a clean, modern look, and every element had to be tailored to suit both the room and his daughter’s lifestyle.
The Cosmos Bedrooms Solution
As every wardrobe we manufacture is 100% made to measure, the customer had complete freedom over the dimensions and layout.
After discussing the available space and how the room would be used, the client chose a 1,400mm wide two-door sliding wardrobe alongside a 1,350mm wide matching desk area.
For the exterior, the specification included:
- Two made-to-measure sliding doors
- One Cashmere MFC panel
- One Grey Mirror door
- Cashmere sliding door frame
- Italian Walnut exterior finish
- A matching Italian Walnut and Cashmere desk, designed to seamlessly complement the wardrobe.
The Result
The completed installation transformed an empty wall into a beautifully designed multifunctional space, combining a bespoke sliding wardrobe, dressing area and study desk in one cohesive design.
By manufacturing everything to the exact dimensions required, we were able to deliver a solution that looked as though it had always been part of the room, while providing significantly more storage and functionality than an off-the-shelf alternative.
Most importantly, the customer was delighted with the finished result, and his daughter now has a bedroom that is stylish, organised and designed around the way she lives.
